Southern Tide Expands Brand Footprint with First Fort Lauderdale Store

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (July 21, 2020) – Southern Tide, a leader in premium coastal lifestyle and apparel, has opened its newest store along Las Olas Boulevard in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. Las Olas Boulevard stretches from the beach and rises over the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway, making it the premier destination for shopping, dining, events, entertainment, galleries, and nightlife. With demand from a growing fan base in Florida, the new store marks Southern Tide’s first standalone, brand-owned store in South Florida. Southern Tide looks to bring its Southern charm and coastal style to the area, and add to the impressive lineup of shops that line the boulevard.

“We are very excited to announce the opening of our newest store in South Florida, and are so thankful for the support of the Las Olas community,” said Christopher Heyn, Southern Tide CEO. “We feel that Fort Lauderdale embodies Southern Tide’s spirit of outdoor adventure, and we are delighted to serve the area, as well as continue to share our love of the coastal lifestyle.”

In keeping with the brand’s energetic roots, the 2,070-square-foot store features fitting rooms with a playful nod to a seaside outdoor shower, along with tiled flooring featuring the store’s nautical coordinates around the cash wrap. Southern Tide also commissioned local artist Lizzy Taber to create a mixed-media painting inspired by the brand’s Skipjack logo. As customers exit, a large-scale map of Fort Lauderdale, pinpointing Southern Tide’s exact location, will send guests on their way. The store’s color design elements further bring the Southern Tide retail experience to life.

To ensure a safe shopping experience for both guests and employees, Southern Tide is committed to following strict protocols and precautions, including social distancing, mandated face coverings (with complimentary disposable masks available in-store), readily available hand sanitizer, additional in-store and fitting room cleaning (with discarded clothes placed under quarantine), contactless payment, as well as curbside pickup.

The store is centrally located between the Riverside Hotel and the Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk and is situated amongst a highly curated group of retail stores and restaurants. Located directly on the boulevard, the store features an assortment of men’s, women’s, and kid’s apparel, footwear, and accessories, with personal shopping services available to help guests find the perfect fit. Designed for life on the water and outdoor adventure, the Southern Tide brand and Southern state of mind fits seamlessly into the laid-back Fort Lauderdale lifestyle.
