December 10, 2013, Greenville, S.C. – This November, Southern Tide, the Greenville-based lifestyle apparel brand founded in 2006, ranked #5 on South Carolina’s 25 Fastest Growing Companies list for 2013. Companies were ranked based on the three most recently completed fiscal years at the time of nomination. Nominees were judged on financial growth and employee growth over the three-year period from 2010 to 2012.
Southern Tide represents the only company to be ranked within the top five fastest growing private S.C. companies for three straight years.
To be eligible, companies must be headquartered in South Carolina, have been in operation for at least three full fiscal years, and have reported revenues of at least $3M ($50M in assets for financial institutions) in the most recent reported year.
Companies on the top 25 list were honored in November at a luncheon held at the Marriott Hotel in Columbia, S.C.

Most recently, Southern Tide was also named to the 2013 Inc. 5,000 list and represents the fastest growing apparel company to make the list. Southern Tide, which ranks 770 on this year’s list, reported $20.4 million in revenue for 2012, a three-year increase of 592 percent.
