New Activities and Hobbies to Pickup

Feeling a desire to try something new? Whether it’s January 1st or another new beginning in your life, now’s a great time to find a new hobby. From fun outdoor activities to opportunities to learn something new, our list of hobbies and activities has something for everyone—no matter how adventurous you’re feeling.

Visit the Golf Course

From the first tee to the final putt, golf is a popular sport for beginners with a competitive spirit. Play a scramble with friends or a solo game, practice on the putting green and driving range, or just walk the course to get your steps in. Finishing with a round of transfusions and savory pimento cheese at the clubhouse sounds like a nice way to end an afternoon!

This is your year to perfect your long game or pick up a set of clubs and give golf a real shot. Check out our golf shop for men’s apparel with technical features that won’t restrict your swing, grab women’s activewear to elevate your look and your game, and learn how to pick out the perfect golfing attire for the whole family.

Start a Yoga Class

The benefits of yoga go well beyond a normal workout. Yoga helps you develop mindfulness with your body, improves cardiovascular health, and lowers anxiety and stress. With varying levels and styles, you can work on balance, deep stretches, core work, or just simple meditation to add some zen to your life.

Kickstart your mindfulness in our performance activewear. Built with lightweight, wicking fabrics, it seamlessly transitions from downward dog to warrior pose.

Pick Up Pickleball

For one of America’s favorite fun outdoor activities, try a game (or two) of pickleball. With games on sand, grass, or pavement, fast-paced pickleball is the perfect activity to liven up the party for ages 8 to 80.

Serve up style and play with pickleball gear from our exclusive collaboration with Recess Pickleball. Featuring coastal-inspired prints and highly acclaimed technical features, these paddles go well with men’s active shorts or women’s performance skirts and skorts.

Take a Daily Walk

You don’t have to train for a marathon to be active. If running isn’t your thing, laps around the block are a great way to get moving that’s as simple as it is effective. Just 30 minutes of cardio a day can improve both physical and mental health.

Find a walking buddy, take your dog along, or go solo and turn up the tunes. Regular activity is good for both of you. Stay cool on your walks with breathable, moisture-wicking gear from our brrr° Collection, and pack a lightweight vest or cardigan if the weather gets brisk. (Don’t forget the dog accessories if you’re bringing a furry friend!)

Start Hiking

A good hike lets you take in the surroundings while filling your lungs with clean, fresh air. Enjoy greenery, little critters, and the grand finale, like a waterfall or beautiful scenic landscape, all while improving your health. Find a hiking buddy or head off by yourself, and don’t forget to fill your drinkware with enough water to last the day.

We recommend dressing in layers so you’re prepared for the weather. Pack a performance quarter-zip for men or a pullover for women to keep you dry and protected from the elements.

Enroll in a Class

School doesn’t have to be out just because you’re an adult. Branch out and take a class —bonus points for something you’ve never tried before! There’s something for everyone, from pottery to photography to paddleboarding. Try boating if you love being on the water, or learn all about fishing from the experts.

A group atmosphere is great for family nights, creative dates, or simply catching up with friends. Do a quick search on the internet or ask your friends for recommendations to learn about exciting activities offered near you. Show up to class in a preppy dress to impress, or don a men’s button-down for a casually upscale look.

Volunteer for a Cause

Give back to the environment and community with sustainable practices and volunteer work. Whether it’s becoming involved in a beach cleanup, tutoring, fundraising, or something as simple as recycling, we believe it's important to devote your time to causes that support and invest in meaningful endeavors.

As a brand with an affinity for our ocean and environment, we’re always working to reduce our footprint by sourcing more responsible materials for our products.
