How did BTW get involved with Southern Tide?
BTW is an ocean conservation nonprofit, dedicated to protecting sharks and catalyzing ocean policy through research, innovation and exploration. We first engaged with Southern Tide in 2019, on one of our pilot deep-sea missions (video: Deep Sea Conservation - Program Summary with Global Sub Dive)
From there, the synergies in our brands were clear—both ST and BTW have a passion and love for the ocean, and seek to inspire more people to follow the tide, live mindfully, celebrate coastal communities and protect the marine ecosystem for future generations to continue to enjoy.
How does working with Southern Tide make a sustainable impact?
The planet needs our help—but our species isn’t doomed. Every day, new solutions arise for combating climate change, building ecosystem resiliency, developing new technologies and restoring planetary abundance. And, so many of these solutions come from the ocean. We love partnering with ST because of this sustainability mindset—in the two years since we’ve partnered, ST has continued to innovate from sustainable and recycled packaging to experimental (and exciting) materials in their clothing. Organic cotton, recycled nylon and polyester, and even coconut husts can be found in ST products – inclduing our co-branded collection!
What are some of your favorite memories working with Southern Tide?
Not only has our partnership expanded online and in stores, but our teams have had the opportunity to connect and deepen our collaboration over the years. From the first magazine shoot, tagging sharks in the Exumas, to our in-store talks in Nantucket, Islamorada, and Destin, to bringing ST Ambassadors into our mission in the marinas of South Florida – working together is always an adventure!
What are your favorite Southern Tide x BTW products?
My favorite new products are the performance hoodie and the new trucker hat. I get compliments everywhere!

It has been very enjoyable for our team to truly collaborate on these collections each year, working with ST designers to make sure that every item is unique, custom, and something that all of our team is excited and proud to wear on the water and in every day life. And with items selling out so fast, we know this is working!
